Radiofrequency

Radiofrequency therapy helps to eliminate diet and exercise resistant localized fat accumulations by means of heat and provides their further removal from the body through the lymphatic system.

Radio waves activate water molecules and ions in the body (sodium-potassium-calcium-magnesium) causing the heating of the tissues with the released energy. Here the purpose is to increase the heat in the treated area to 41 - 43 degrees (normal body temperature is 36-37 degrees). When the skin reaches this temperature, its deeper layers are heated to 50-55 degrees. This does not cause any harm to the body. Heating the skin increases the intracellular oxygen diffusion rate, resulting in acceleration of metabolic processes (metabolism), increased lymph drainage, reduction of fat cells and skin sagging.

In which treatments is Radiofrequency used?

Dependent on the obtained positive effects the procedure helps to reduce signs of lymph vessels slowdown, improves lymphatic drainage, accelerates fat metabolism, increases muscle density, as well as the elasticity of the body by activation of the fibroblast cells. As a result, this procedure has been successfully used for:

  • Regional lipid breakdown,
  • Cellulite treatment,
  • Systematic lymph drainage and elimination of toxins from the body,
  • To improve the condition of the skin.

Radiofrequency waves heat up the surface tissue layers, giving them a tight and velvety appearance, and provide fat burning and tissue drainage due to a stronger thermal effect in areas of cellulite formation.

With the help of radiofrequency waves increases the production of collagen in the skin, which gives it elasticity and tone.

Incredible results in improving sagging skin on inner thighs and arms have been reported during the clinical trials.

The use of radiofrequency waves on the face aims to create a lifting effect by stimulating collagen production. The result of the radiofrequency face lift, manifested in increasing skin elasticity and reducing fine wrinkles, is visible already after the first session.

Being a great alternative to the surgery, it provides full protection for the skin's surface, heating it both deeply and externally. Besides, it provides an effective improvement in fine lines and wrinkles that have appeared in connection with the age-related loss of collagen fibers and fibroblast activity slowdown.

Radiofrequency over Liposuction

Most of the aesthetic and plastic surgeons recommend the radiofrequency treatment before and after liposuction surgery. Activating the lipid tissues by stimulating them by radiofrequency before liposuction increases the success of liposuction. It is recommended after liposuction for tightening the loosen tissues which remained empty after removal of lipid cells. Even though the utmost care is taken during the liposuction surgery, it is not possible to remove the fat from all regions equally. Fluctuations which are called undulation can be observed even after the most successful surgeries. Patients who became thinner with liposuction started to search a remedy for this new appearance. The problem which was tried to be solved by physiotherapists has been solved with the radiofrequency application.

Can Radiofrequency be applied to everyone?

Radiofrequency therapy should be avoided by:

  • Patients with Parkinson's disease, MS, epilepsy, cancer, including skin cancer, and so on
  • Pregnant
  • People using pacemakers
  • People with large metal prostheses

Radiofrequency Treatment Period

Treatment varies from person to person, and depending on the treated area successful results are achieved on average after 8-10 sessions.

Session duration and session interval

Radiofrequency session lasts on average 15-30 minutes for face, 20-40 minutes for abdomen and hips, 46-60 minutes for legs and buttocks. Depending on the patient, a 2 to 4 weeks’ break is given between the sessions.
